Accessibility Statement
Last updated: September 29, 2026
We want AutoTrack to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers or other assistive technology and people who navigate by keyboard. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
What we've done
- We chose the site's colors to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios for text (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text), and we check new colors against those ratios.
- Links, buttons, and form fields show a visible focus outline when you navigate with a keyboard.
- Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers. Meaningful information is always given in text, not only by an icon or color.
- Pages use semantic landmarks (navigation, main content, footer), and form fields have visible labels.
- On the sign-up and login forms, errors appear as text next to the form and are announced by screen readers.
How we've tested
So far we've reviewed the site against WCAG 2.1 AA during development. We have not yet completed a formal audit with automated tools and screen readers. When we do, we'll update this page with the date and results.
Known limitations
These are areas we know need work, mostly inside the logged-in app:
- Pop-up messages: some confirmations and error messages in the app use the browser's built-in pop-up dialogs. Screen readers announce them, but they interrupt the page and don't leave a lasting message.
- Dashboard shortcuts: a few clickable areas on the dashboard aren't reachable by keyboard yet. The same pages are available from the main navigation.
- Dialogs: the add and edit forms on the Vehicles page open in an overlay that may not keep keyboard focus inside it.
- Uploaded receipts: receipt photos and PDFs are shown as you uploaded them, with no text description. A PDF is only as accessible as the file itself.
- Screen reader testing: the in-app pages (dashboard, vehicles, maintenance, mileage, reminders, settings) haven't been fully tested with a screen reader yet.
Feedback
If you run into a barrier anywhere on AutoTrack, please email [email protected]. Include the page, what you were trying to do, and, if you can, the assistive technology and browser you use. We aim to reply within 5 business days and will tell you how and when we plan to fix it.
