Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and [Operator name — to be added] ("we," "us"), the operator of AutoTrack ("the Service") at autotrackbay.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.

What AutoTrack is

AutoTrack is a personal record-keeping tool. You use it to log vehicle maintenance, mileage, and related costs, and to see reminders based on the information you enter. It is not a source of professional automotive, mechanical, or safety advice. Service reminders are calculated from standard service intervals and the dates and odometer readings you log. They don't replace your vehicle manufacturer's recommended service schedule or a qualified mechanic's judgment.

Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You must provide an accurate email address, and you're responsible for keeping your password confidential.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

Price

AutoTrack is currently free to use. The core logbook will stay free: vehicles, maintenance records, mileage logs, reminders, and exporting your data. We may offer optional paid extras in the future. If we do, they'll be clearly labeled, you'll never be charged without explicitly choosing to buy something, and we won't move any feature you already have for free behind a paywall.

Your data

You own the vehicle, maintenance, and mileage data you enter, and the receipts you upload. We don't claim any ownership of it. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run the Service for you. See our Privacy Policy for how it's handled and how to export or delete it.

Our content

The AutoTrack name, logo, site design, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don't grant you any rights to them beyond using the Service as intended.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to store or send unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
• Try to access another user's account or data without authorization.
• Probe, scan, or try to bypass the security of the Service.
• Use automated means to scrape or overload the Service.

Availability and changes to the Service

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may take it down for maintenance or updates. We may change or remove features over time. If we decide to shut the Service down entirely, we'll give at least 30 days' notice on this site so you can export your data first. We'll also notify you by email once email notifications are available.

Inactive accounts

We don't currently delete inactive accounts. If that ever changes, we'll update these terms and give at least 30 days' notice before deleting any account for inactivity.

Disclaimer of warranty

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that reminders will be accurate or that the Service will be error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes damage, loss, or expense related to vehicle maintenance decisions made using information from the app.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page and post a notice on this site before the change takes effect. We'll also notify you by email once email notifications are available. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction — to be added], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a provision right away, we haven't waived it. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
